Cultivation of Humility

It’s exciting when God drops promises into your heart and you begin to see the fruit start to bud.

The temptation to harvest the fruit and rush it into the ‘marketplace’ straight away is very real.

As frustrating as it is for those of us cultivating these promises, the fact remains that for most of us, the fruit just isn’t ready. It hasn’t yet grown to maturity and it hasn’t been ‘vine ripened’.
This means that any fruit we try to pluck before it’s ready, won’t really be very impressive at all.

If it is God that has placed the promises in your heart, then it is God that will make sure they are brought to fruition.
You don’t need to prance around showing off your budding fruit in the hope that the ‘right person’ will see it and suddenly your dreams will become reality.
Your job is to guard the fruit.
Feed it. Water it. Protect it from harsh conditions and predators that would cause it to be eaten away or spoiled.

Keep it submitted to He who gave it to you.
Then, when the timing is perfect, when the fruit has matured, when your character can withstand where you are about to be launched, you will be picked and chosen for display.
