From the Perfectly Flawed Facebook page…
I was very excited to sleep last night. I had grand plans for a beautiful, peaceful and refreshing sleep. God, however, had other plans. I felt like He was wanting to share a word with me. I reluctantly set aside my agenda of sleep and asked Holy Spirit to speak to me. Reluctant obedience is still obedience….right?
He took my to these 2 verses in 2 Chronicles. Not gonna lie, this was not a passage I was overly familiar with, but as I read it became clear why God had led me here. I then asked who it was for; my church family? An individual? He said to put it directly onto Facebook, so here it is, the passage and the accompanying word:
But Jeroboam caused an ambush to go around behind them; so they were in front of Judah, and the ambush was behind them. And when Judah looked around, to their surprise the battle line was at both front and rear; and they cried out to the Lord, and the priests sounded the trumpets. (II Chronicles 13:13, 14 NKJV)
Have you been in this situation?
Perhaps not literally in a physical battle, but facing something huge and overwhelming, only to find that its threat was much bigger than you first realised, it had now completely surrounded you? Hedged in, front and back!
What did you do?
Are you in this situation now?
I believe that for this season, just like it did for Judah, your redemption will come as you cry out to The Lord in desperation for your deliverance!
The second key to Judah’s deliverance came as the priests blew their trumpets in accordance with the direction that God had given Moses in Numbers 10:9.
When Jesus became the sacrifice for us, it eradicated our need for a priest, a go between. He became our High Priest…
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession….
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14, 16 NKJV)
I believe that your weapon in this season is to cry out to God for deliverance, calling upon the name of Jesus as your trumpet, boldly approaching the throne of grace to find the mercy and grace you need for the battle, equipped in the knowledge that Jesus Himself intercedes on your behalf! (Romans 8:34 NKJV)
You may be overwhelmed by the battle that threatens to overpower you from all directions, but your deliverance is near!
And it will come by a miraculous work of His hand, that He might have the glory.
Claim this word, as you stand on God’s word, and let it bring encouragement to your weary soul.
